Summary: | The airliner crashed into Bwabwata National Park while en route to Luanda. The plane was found completely burned out with no survivors. The plane went missing in bad weather and poor visibility. The inputs to the auto flight systems by the person believed to be the Captain, caused the aircraft to departure from cruise flight to a sustained controlled descent and subsequent collision with the terrain. The Captain locked the cockpit door preventing the copilot from reentering after he requested permission to go to the lavatory. |
