Summary: The MD-82 crashed into the Dalian Bay, 12 miles east of Dalian airport. The pilot reported a fire aboard the aircraft and the cabin lights were out prior to the plane impacting the water. The accident was caused by an act of sabotage by a passenger who lit a fire using gasoline in the cabin. He had bought multiple insurance policies before boarding the flight.
