Summary: | The floatplane, carrying passengers to a fishing site crashed into a brush and rock covered mountainside in light rain and fog. Former Alaska U.S. Senator, Ted Stevens, was among those killed. The NTSB found the probable cause to be the pilot’s temporary unresponsiveness for reasons that could not be established from the available information. There was no mechanical problem with the plane and that weather was not likely a factor in the crash. |
