| Summary: | The aircraft ran out of fuel due to a navigation error and crashed into the jungle. The crew entered a heading of 027 degrees instead of 270 into the flight computer. Although the flight from Maraba to Belem was supposed to last 45 minutes, after two hours, the captain still thought he was flying in the right direction. The course was finally corrected but the plane ran out of fuel and crashed into the jungle. |
