Summary: The airplane crashed 1,000 meters beyond the runway. The aircraft was on a demo flight, and the crash occurred during a demonstration of the Twin Otter's ability to recover from single engine failure on take off. A Zambian Air Officer is rumoured to have insisted on occupying the co-pilot's seat, and is said to have overruled one of the corrective actions taken by the pilot, leaving no time for further correction.
